Graham has an exclusively criminal practice, appearing for the majority of the time on behalf of the Defence as Leading Junior.
His practice has in the recent past covered all aspects of major and organised crime, including as examples, fraud offences, sexual offences including historical child abuse, rape and all manner of offences concerned with drug importation and distribution, and the wide range of offences of violence, in particular murder by individuals and ‘gangs’ Many of these trials undertaken, have been in excess of 6 months duration.
He is often instructed as the only Leading Junior in trial where QCs represent all other defendants.
With a background in ‘serious’ crime he has developed a detailed understanding of the many aspects of ‘expert evidence’, and in particular, in many of the recent cases, has demonstrated a detailed knowledge of ‘cell site’ analysis and the cross examination of experts on such evidence.

Notable Cases:
Regina v Coutts and Others (Central Criminal Court) 2007-2008 - Leading Junior in the trial of Roger Coutts, who was involved as one of the major participants in the Securitas £53 Million Tonbridge Robbery, hailed as the ‘biggest robbery of modern times’.
Regina v Taylor and Others (Central Criminal Court) 2007 - concerned large-scale drug importations from South America and Europe.
Regina v Henry Seabourne and Others (Central Criminal Court) 2008 - a gang related murder in North London with a multi handed ‘cut throat’ defence used by some defendants against the client.
Regina v Davies (2008) - historical allegations against a father by 2 daughters.
Regina v Graham Simpson (2008) - rape and sexual assaults by a Sea Cadet Petty officer on 17 year and 13 year old Cadets in his care.
Regina-v-Ndoh and Others (Central Criminal Court) 2009 - a gang related murder in North London.
