Philippa Page recently acted for Stefan Sylvestre who, on 1st May 2009, received a Sentence of Imprisonment for Public Protection with a minimum term of six years for his part in a horrifying acid-throwing attack on a young model and TV presenter, disfiguring her for life. Sylvestre had pleaded Guilty to this offence in August 2008. His co-defendant Danny Lynch had stood trial for his part in the s.18 GBH, and a further count of Rape, and was convicted of both counts. He received two life sentences, and will serve a minimum of 16 years. The sentence hearing at Wood Green Crown Court was widely reported in the National Press, and the case is now said to form the subject matter of a Cutting Edge documentary.
