Brian Lett Q.C. wins manslaughter appeal for Vietnamese alleged drug gang boss:
The Court of Appeal has overturned the conviction for manslaughter of Quynh Van Huynh, an alleged “Mr Big” in the world of cannabis gangs. Huynh was tried for murder at the Cardiff Crown Court in 2008, but was acquitted of that offence. The Court of Appeal found that his conviction for the alternative offence of manslaughter was unsafe, and ordered his discharge. Brian Lett Q.C., together with his junior Mark Williams, represented Mr Huynh at trial. Mr Lett Q.C. appeared alone in the Court of Appeal.
