Extradition

In the last 5 years extradition has become one of the most important and complicated areas of public law. Members have expertise in advising and representing both defendants and governments at every level, from the Magistrates’ Court to the House of Lords.

For the defence members have appeared in some of the leading case under the Extradition Act 2003 (Government of Albania v Bleta, Government of US v Benbow) and are available to advise from the outset of proceedings.

Members are also regularly instructed to represent foreign governments and judicial authorities. Current instructions include the cases of Dytlow and Dytlow, in the Administrative Court and Public Prosecutor of Bielefeld v Louca in the House of Lords.
